Kate Rice Law Clerk

Kate Rice is a third-year law student at Loyola University Chicago School of Law with experience in business litigation, regulatory compliance, employment law, and financial services matters.

Throughout law school, Ms. Rice has clerked at several Chicago-based law firms, gaining exposure to a range of commercial and regulatory issues. In these roles, she has contributed to case development and dispute resolution efforts in a variety of corporate and administrative contexts. Ms. Rice has also worked on Cook County property tax and assessment matters, assisting specialist tax attorneys throughout multiple stages of the appeals process.

Ms. Rice previously worked in federal tax and financial services policy at a government affairs firm in Washington, D.C., where she supported client advocacy initiatives before Congress and federal agencies.

At Loyola, Ms. Rice is pursuing a Certificate in Compliance Studies. She also serves as an Executive Editor of the Journal of Regulatory Compliance, Senior Academic Tutor in the Legal Writing Program, and Vice President of the Irish Law Student Association.

Ms. Rice earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from Marquette University and is expected to receive her Juris Doctor in May 2026.
